I am in love with the Spanish language.

The last few weeks I have remained rather busy as usual. With my German course, school, my host family and friends i’ve got a full schedule, which i enjoy very much. I had a Rotary weekend in Hundisburg (middle of NOWHERE) but It was one of the best yet :) I’ll be posting a nice bunch of photos… they always speak better than my words!  The German course that has been going on for what seems like forever is now finished which is both good and bad. I am glad that I will now have some free time, but on the other hand it may be to much. I plan to join a soccer club and maybe find something else, too. I had a good time with my second family and it’s been so great to have SIBLINGS. I got a bid bored with my free time in the beginning of the year and now I know why. Although many things are coming to an end, it leaves room for some exciting new things to start. In 2.5 weeks, I will be going on my Europe Tour (see end!), After I return, I’ve got just one week of school and then in my 2 week break I’ll be in Poland! I can’t wait to travel and soak up every bit of Europe’s beauty :) On Sunday, I moved back to my first host family. It’s good to be back but I am missing my second family! This weekend is “karneval” time in Germany. I don’t know exactly what that includes, but I’m excited to find out! I think it’s like a fair, but with lots of costumes and food! For those that have been asking,  I’m looking at booking my flight home for the end of June. I’ll post the exact date once i’m sure. Besides that, today is a total chill day! I went to school and all of my lessons for the day have been cancelled so I am free to do what I want today! Gosh I am going to hate school next year.. I am getting so used to not having it. Since spring break is around the corner in Stillwater, I hope that everyone enjoys vacation and I wish you all safe travels! I am going to take this opportunity to rub in the fact that my spring break is 6 weeks long, with one week of school in between my two vacations. I will be spending it in Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Monaco, Austria, Hungary, The Czech Republic, & Poland. Nicht schlimm, oder? :D but really… have fun in Minnesota/ Florida/ Mexico/ Arizona/ Other. 16 DAYS BROTHAS & SISTAS.

Helllo!

Once again, it’s been a while… 

In my last blog entry, I kind of tried to dissapear. But i’m back! I change my mind often about keeping contact with home, but i’ve decided once and for all that a little is alright, but it’s not my priority. As you can see, my english is really strange. It’s actually completely sad… I speak the worst english. The more occupied my mind is with German, the less it is with everything else. In the last months, I have gone to dreaming in english with a bit german thrown in, to dreaming only in German and even sometimes thinking in German. It’s so cool! I moved last weekend to my new host family. Things are good and I’ve been staying busy! With my host family, I got the chance to revisit Berlin and I saw a BG Goettingen basketball game. In my new family, my host dad is American. Things are feeling like the US around here and it’s fun! I even watched the super bowl. I’m also becoming kind of a sports watching junkie… I’ve seen around 10 games this week. Europe tour is in around 5 weeks and I CAN’T WAIT.

Let’s be honest… I am terrible at this whole ”blogging” thing. But it is partly because I never know what to write while I am on here! Anyways, lately things have been pretty boring around here… I had a 2 week winter break and after Christmas everything has just been pretty lame and gotten me into the winter blues. Lovely. I have had not one, but TWO snow days in the last few weeks. But I really have not been up to too much. Today was a nice surprise, I woke up to sunshine, blue skies, and 54° weather. . not bad Germany! But then I checked the forecast and it will rain for about a week. In Feburary, I will be changing host families for one month. I think it will feel sort of uncomfortable to go into such a switch, but that’s probably a good thing. And at the end of the month, I will switch back. It’s around the half way point of my year, and I see it as good and bad. Bad because time is moving WAY too fast and good becuase things only get better, and I have a lot to look forward too in the next 6 or so months! Frohes Neues Jahr!

As the Christmas comes nearer, the weather is getting colder… which means great things. I get to drink hot cocoa, go to Christmas markets, listen to holiday music, eat chocolate every single day, sit by the fireplace, & wear warm socks. Winter isn’t too bad…

I don’t normally reblog, but this is amazing. Just read it.
